Manchester United may have received a fresh transfer blow in their pursuit of Antony, Lisandro Martínez and Jurriën Timber after Ajax placed ‘extremely high price tag’ on the trio to scare off suitors, according to reports.
Man United are expected to rebuild their squad in the summer, given the number of first senior players that have already left the club.
The likes of Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, Nemanja Matic, Lee Grant, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard have all left Manchester United.
There are reports claiming that as many as four more senior players are planning on leaving the club this summer in a bid to get more playing time.
As a result, The Red Devils have been linked with several decent players, with Erik ten Hag’s top priorities said to be some of Ajax’s first team players.
The likes of Antony, Lisandro Martínez and Jurriën Timber have all been linked with summer moves to Old Trafford but Manchester United are yet to reach an agreement with the Dutch team for any of the mentioned players.
The journalist reported that Antony will have to cost his suitors between €70-80m [£60.3-68.9m] and both centre-backs Martinez and Timber will command €50m [£43m].
Ajax are preparing to demand between €50m [£43m] and €60m [£51.6m] for either Jurrien Timber or Lisandro Martínez.
