Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has warned his players that Manchester United have the ability to punish them but urged his under-firing players that he wants to see a response after Chelsea defeat.
The Red Devils will look to maintain their good record against the Gunners tonight as they hope to maintain their top-four chase.
After Watford loss last two week, Man United bounced back to winning ways following wins over Newcastle United and Burnley.
While Arteta is still searching for his first win as Arsenal boss after he came close to getting his win against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.
“The second goal that we conceded was in a transition where we had a bad structure and organisation when defending big spaces with equal numbers,” Arteta said.
“We made one half-bad decision and these things are similar, with space they [United] can punish you for sure.”
Following the undeserved defeat to the Blues, according to Mesut Ozil, Arsenal boss claims he is wary of his players’ mentality and concurred it will be a challenge to get them back on track.
“That’s my worry now,” he said. “I hope that the result doesn’t affect them too much. They were all physically blown and disappointed in how the game ended because they didn’t feel that they deserved that, but we have to move on.
“We have another game and it’s a big one as well. They have to respond and this is the challenge now.”
