Manchester United new signing Bruno Fernandes has been backed by Arsenal defensive midfielder Lucas Torreira to adapt quickly to what Premier League has in store for him.
The Portuguese midfielder has successfully joined Man United this month after his move to Old Trafford failed to take shape last summer.
It is understood the Red Devils will pay a fee close to £68m for the prolific midfielder and he is expected to fly to England to have his medical this week at Carrington.
Torreira has struggled for consistency at Arsenal this season following his arrival from the Serie A in the summer and while Fernandes is set to start a new challenge int he Premier League, the Gunners’ star has wished him luck.
‘I really hope he adapts quickly, particularly as the Premier League is so physical and intense as a championship,’ Torreira told Sky Sports when asked about Fernandes’ move.
‘I’m sure he has the right mentality to adapt quickly. Obviously he’s joining a big club in Manchester United so I hope he enjoys the move.’
Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement with Sporting Clube de Portugal for the transfer of Bruno Fernandes.
The deal is subject to a medical and the agreement of personal terms.
