The 25-year-old midfielder, who is also a transfer target for Arsenal, has not been a regular starter for Juve this season and has also struggled to make an impact at Turin since his arrival from Barcelona in 2019.

This season so far, the Brazil international has made only nine appearances in the Serie A and four appearances in the Champions League but has no assist or goal to his name.

Manchester United are likely to lose Donny van de Beek for the remainder of the season as the Dutchman is close to joining Everton or Crystal Palace this month on a loan deal.

Though United’s reported interest in Arthur doesn’t indicate the Brazilian would be a direct replacement for the ex-Ajax man, both players have similar playing positions.
