Aurelien Tchouameni speaks out on his future amid Manchester United speculation

Aurelien Tchouameni refused to rule himself out of a possible summer exit from Monaco, with Manchester United and Liverpool said to be keen on the midfielder.

The Monaco star has drawn interest from top European teams including the likes of Man United, Liverpool, Real Madrid and PSG.

Several reports claimed Liverpool have held talks with the 22-year-old’s representatives over a potential move to Anfield, while some reports claim Erik ten Hag wants the France star as one of his midfield generals at Old Trafford.

And, while the Frenchman is open to staying at Monaco, he says there’s no guarantees over what can happen in the summer transfer market.

‘I have a contract with Monaco until 2024, with an option until 2025, we’ll see what the future holds,’ said Tchouaméni.

‘In the transfer windows, many things can happen. There is my case and that of other players, some at the end of their contracts, others who have interest in other places. We are focused on Lille.

‘We’re going on vacation, and we’ll see when we get back, who they’ll be when we get back. Why not stay and play the Champions League?

‘The elimination in the previous round against Shakhtar got stuck in my throat. Playing the Champions League with Monaco is not something that displeases me.’

The likes of Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba are leaving Manchester United at the end of the season.

And United are expected to sign their replacements in the summer in a bid to advance their Dutch manager’s chances of bringing silverware back to the club.
