Bayern Munich react after 'interest in Cristiano Ronaldo' reports emerged

Bayern Munich have reacted after reports claimed they have shown interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United this summer.

Reports emerged this week that Bayern are interested in signing Ronaldo from Man United this summer as a direct replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is Barcelona bound.

The 37-year-old forward returned back to Old Trafford last summer in a bid to continue his playing career at the highest level possible but last season, at United, turned out to be a nightmare after The Red Devils finished 6th in the Premier League and without a single trophy.

Ronaldo is now poised on playing the Europa League competition for the first time in his career, if he remains at Manchester United, but while this isn’t deemed as the major reason for the Portuguese star to quit United, he remains linked with a summer exit.

The Old Trafford club have remained silence in the ongoing transfer market, whereas the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and Tottenham, who all finished ahead of United in the league last season, have made some stunning signings already. And that is what has reportedly left Ronaldo thinking about his United future.

According to Diario Record, Cristiano Ronaldo has told his friends that he would look at leaving Manchester United this summer if they continue to dally in the transfer market.

Several reports have linked him with a move to Bayern Munich but according to Christian Falk, the reports leading Cristiano Ronaldo to Allianz Arena are NOT TRUE.

Manchester United are interested in signing Frenkie de Jong, Antony, Christian Eriksen, a centre-back and a striker, to ease the burden on Ronaldo.
