Bruno Fernandes' header doubles Manchester United lead 2-0 vs Leeds United

Manchester United have kept their lead safe over Leeds United for now when Bruno Fernandes scored with a header, thanks to Jadon Sancho for a subline cross.

Man United opened the scoring with a fine header from Harry Maguire after the United skipper got on the end of Luke Shaw’s corner-kick. Watch it here.

The goal came after Cristiano Ronaldo had missed a sitter, denying what could have been Paul Pogba’s fifth assist against Leeds, a record that stretches back to the reverse fixture, where he provided four assists to help United win 5-1.

In the additional minutes of the first half, Manchester United started a counter-attack, with Victor Lindelof engineering it, passed the ball to Jadon Sancho, whose one-touch turned out to be an excellent cross to Fernandes, who headed the ball down past Leeds goalie.

Leeds United would head into the break with two goals down.
