Bruno Fernandes takes massive dig at Harry Maguire and sends Ralf Rangnick a message

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes appears to have taken a massive dig at Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof with a Facebook post and indirectly sends a message to Ralf Rangnick.

Man United fans have struggled to come to terms with Maguire as their first-choice centre-back, due to his lack of consistency.

The England international has endured widespread criticism over his inability to improve Man United’s backline, having cost The Red Devils £80million in his move from Leicester City to United three seasons ago.

Fans urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to drop the defender, who many have described as ‘slab head’ and ‘fridge’ but the Norwegian refused, and that eventually led to his sack due to United’s poor run of form.

Maguire remains United’s first-choice centre-back under Ralf Rangnick, despite his recent horrid displays that stuck The Red Devils in a three-match unbeaten run.

The German boss said before the Southampton clash that the 28-year-old would impress against The Saints but eventually, the opposite occurred, when his error led to Che Adams’ equaliser.

Fans would rather have Victor Lindelof or Eric Bailly to pair alongside Raphael Varane at the heart of the defence, something Rangnick is reluctant to do and Bruno Fernandes appears to have agreed with the fans, thanks to his social media activity.

The Portuguese star shared a photo of him standing in between Eric Bailly and Raphael Varane on Facebook and tagged it ‘feeling very safe between these two.’

Whether Fernandes only said that without any plans to hurt Maguire’s feelings or to inform Ralf Rangnick who United’s centre-back pairing should be, the midfielder’s post went down too well as a sly dig at Maguire and Lindelof.

Suggesting that he feels more protected when Eric Bailly and Raphael Varane pair as centre-backs rather than Varane and Maguire/Lindelof.

And as usual, it has gone viral.
