Daniel James makes bold Leeds United admission ahead of Manchester United clash

Daniel James admits that Leeds United are under a ‘little bit’ of pressure to get a result against Manchester United this weekend, though he claimed they are looking forward to facing The Reds.

Man United will look to continue where they left off in the midweek against Brighton and Hove Albion when they play visitors to Leeds on Saturday in the Premier League.

Manchester United beat The Seagulls 2-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday night after they had gone three games without a win in all competitions.

United’s chances of making it two league wins in a row against Leeds have been boosted, thanks to the Yorkshire side’s recent poor form.

Leeds United came from three goals down to draw Aston Villa 3-3, with Daniel James scoring a brace, and lost 3-0 to strugglers, Everton, last weekend.

James’ side would face Liverpool next after the Manchester United game and take on Tottenham, another team vying for a place in the Champions League spots, but the ex-Man United forward said The Whites are relishing the chances of playing these types of games.

“We are looking forward to them [Manchester United, Liverpool, and Spurs fixtures],” James told the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“We have got obviously three games next week as the Liverpool game has been put in between.

“It’s the games we play for, we have maybe put a little bit more pressure on from not getting a result from this game but we are all confident going into it.”

Manchester United won the reverse fixture 6-2 at Old Trafford during the first few games of the season and will look to do the Premier League double over Marcelo Bielsa’s side, something they failed to achieve last term.

United played a goalless draw at Elland Road, having lost 5-1 at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture of last season. And Daniel James was part of The Red Devils during that time.
