Manchester United goalie David de Gea was at his best against Newcastle United and he was the reason United didn’t lose all the points at St James’ Park.
Man United fell behind early in the game after a decent effort from Alan Saint-Maximin was good enough to beat de Gea.
Early in the second half, the home side came close to keeping their lead protected after Saint-Maximin found himself in a goalscoring position but his effort was carefully pushed away by David de Gea.
Late on in the game, the Magpies came close to restoring their lead after Miguel Almiron nicely hit the ball on target but David de Gea pulled off a phenomenal save to keep things level.
The chance came after Edinson Cavani had scored the equaliser from a close range for Manchester United.
United’s performance against the Magpies is yet another performance the players and fans will want to forget as their display was nowhere near the club’s standard.
