David de Gea slams Manchester United team-mates after Everton defeat

David de Gea has described Manchester United’s performance against Everton as a ‘disgrace’ and slammed his attacking team-mates for not creating ‘proper’ chances.

Man United succumbed to a disappointing 1-0 defeat against The Toffees, who have been dreadful since Frank Lampard took over.

Gordon opened the scoring after Harry Maguire deflected the midfielder’s strike midway through the first half.

The goal came after Marcus Rashford had two chances to break the deadlock but Jordan Pickford looked unbeatable in both situations.

United struggled to put plenty of bodies into Everton‘s penalty box, and that also thwarted their chances of getting back into the game.

David de Gea was rather disappointing with his team’s performance, insisting that games such as this should be winning games for Manchester United.

The shot-stopper also admitted that following today’s defeat, finishing in the top-four will be ‘difficult’ for The Red Devils.

“It is a disgrace from us, we should be winning this game,” the Spaniard told BT Sport after the final whistle.

“We don’t score but we don’t create proper chances to score. We are not good enough, that is for sure. It will be difficult to be in the top four.”
