Former Man United forward Dimitar Berbatov has backed his old side to get all three points against Crystal Palace on Saturday in the Premier League.
United will kick off their season with a clash against Roy Hodgson’s side at Old Trafford this weekend.
The likes of Bruno Fernandes, David de Gea, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Victor Lindelof and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who did not feature in United’s 1-0 loss to Aston Villa last weekend, are expected to face Palace after reporting to training on Monday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer previously thought Pogba might not be ready to face the Eagles on Saturday 19 after the France star, who contracted coronavirus late last month, missed several training sessions last week.
However, the World Cup winner has successfully recovered from the virus, trained with his teammates on Monday and Tuesday and will be ready for the opener this weekend.
New signing Donny Van de Beek, who impressed against Aston Villa, has been tipped by Dimitar Berbatov to make his presence felt in big games this season.
“I saw Donny Van de Beek play the friendly against Villa, and it was very positive, he will have a huge role in all the big games this year.
“People expect a lot from him and a lot from the team- they are Manchester United and it’s been too long since they challenged for the title.”
