Diogo Dalot has revealed that Manchester United are not planning on taking things easy with Young Boys just because they have already booked their place in the Champions League knockout stage.
Man United will host Young Boys at Old Trafford on Wednesday in what would be their last Champions League group stage game.
United booked their way to the round of 16 following a majestic 2-0 win over Villarreal in Spain under former caretaker manager Michael Carrick.
The Red Devils have won three and drew one in their last four matches in all competitions, including last weekend’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Diogo Dalot has hinted that United are eager to continue their unbeaten run against the Switzerland side, who beat Manchester United 2-1 in the reverse tie, after stating that the Red Devils will play Young Boy as if they depend on the game to go through to the next stage of the competition.
“We are going to approach it like it was a game to qualify.”
Dalot has started for Manchester United in their last two matches and played brilliantly well against Arsenal and Crystal Palace.
Due to his scintillating performances, some are suggesting that Aaron Wan-Bissaka would struggle to get back into the starting lineup.
