Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement with FC Lorient over a loan transfer of Donny Van de Beek, according to reports.
Man United are interested in making at least one midfield signing before the end of the transfer window but they have to offload at least one midfielder first.
Van de Beek has fallen behind the likes of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, Mason Mount and Scott McTominay in the midfield pecking order.
It’s only obvious that the Dutchman wouldn’t want to spend another season at Manchester United, knowing he wouldn’t have enough chance to impress his former boss, Erik ten Hag.
As a result, he is open to leaving the club on a season-long loan deal and French reports have claimed that Manchester United and Lorient have reached an agreement for his move.
However, according to Santi Aouna, the French reporter claimed that the transfer will only be completed if the former Ajax midfielder agrees to make a switch to the French Ligue 1.
His departure would eventually give Manchester United the green light to bid for Sofyan Amrabat, who has waited for United for the entire summer.

Manchester United are also interested in signing a left-back following injuries on Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. Marc Cucurella has already agreed personal terms with United but both clubs are yet to reach an agreement.
Cucurella will likely only battle Dalot for the left-back position if his move to the Theatre of Dreams is completed.
