Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has admitted that he will miss Paul Pogba after the Frenchman’s exit was made official on Wednesday.
Man United’s official website and social handles have confirmed today that Pogba WILL leave the club as a free agent at the end of June.
United tried to convince the World Cup winner to extend his stay at Old Trafford but the 29-year-old midfielder reportedly turned down the offer, hence his departure.
Man United’s statement on Pogba’s departure: “Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Paul [Pogba] on his successful career, and thank him for his contributions to Manchester United. We wish him all the best for the next steps on a remarkable journey.”
Paul Pogba’s statement on Instagram on his exit: “I feel privileged to have played for this club. Many beautiful moments and memories but most importantly an unconditional support from the fans. Thank you @ManUtd!”
The France star won the Community Shield, EFL Cup and Europa League during his six rollercoaster years at Old Trafford.
