Ajax boss Erik ten Hag might have given yet another proof that he’s heading to Manchester United at the end of the season during an interview today.

Several reports have claimed that Man United have decided to appoint ten Hag as their next boss, having held interviews with the likes of Mauricio Pochettino and other top managers.

After guiding Ajax to a tight 2-1 win over Sparta Rotterham on Saturday Eredivisie, the Dutch manager was interviewed about injured forward and United target Antony as well as his recent comments about Manchester United.

Reporter: “How did the conversations with Manchester United go?

Ten Hag: “I want to talk about the game.”

Reporter: “Okay… 1 or 2 questions after the game then.

Ten Hag: “I am not reacting to rumors.”

Reporter: “But they are getting strong.

Ten Hag: “Questions about the game or I am going inside.”

Ten Hag: “We could still see Antony this season, but it’s a serious injury.”

Reporter: “Anything else?

Ten Hag: “No, that’s all. Until later.”

Reporter: “Great that you talked so nice about Manchester United.”

Ten Hag: “We are talking about the game, not rumors.”

Reporter: “But you talked with the people of Manchester United, this is more than just rumors.

Ten Hag: “I want to talk about the game.”

And some Man United fans are convinced the Dutch tactician is heading to Old Trafford at the end of the season.

The Ajax boss previously distanced himself from speculation leading him to Manchester United, insisting that he only wanted to focus on finishing this season strong.

“I am just focused on this season. All energy is being put in the current squad,” said ten Hag.

“I don’t think about next season. I want to get the maximum out of the current season, we can still win two trophies.”
