Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek are the ones delaying Manchester United from signing Eduardo Camavinga.
Man United are interested in signing the 18-year-old midfielder from Rennes this summer, with Camavinga set to be out of contract at the end of next season.
Their approach is being delayed by Pogba and van de Beek as the future of both players are not certain. The France midfielder is attracting interest from PSG, Juventus and Real Madrid while Van de Beek could leave the club if United sign another midfielder.
Saul of Atletico Madrid has emerged as a new transfer target for Manchester United, but still at the early stages, and his move to Old Trafford relies on whether Paul Pogba leaves United.
Romano confirms to United Stands that he was told that Paris Saint-Germain are showing interest in the World Cup winner, though the talks have not advanced.
“I am told PSG are interested in Pogba. They also like [Eduardo] Camavinga. But I am told it’s not that advanced with [Paul] Pogba.
“And Pogba is still in talks over a new contract with Manchester United.”
Fabrizio Romano also confirms that Donny van de Beek could leave United this summer, but it depends on if the Reds sign a new midfielder, and suggests Juventus were interested in the Dutchman.
“There are chances for Donny van de Beek to leave Manchester United,” said Romano.
“Before Fabio Paratici left Juventus, there were planning on signing Donny this summer.”
