Facundo Pellistri set to stay at Manchester United after talks with Erik ten Hag

Facundo Pellistri is reportedly set to remain at Manchester United after he held talks with Erik ten Hag, according to reports.

Due to lack of playing time at Man United, Pellistri was keen on leaving the club on loan in search for more playing time.

However, he’s likely to stay put at Old Trafford and fight for his place in the first team, according to The Athletic.

The same report claimed that the Uruguay international held talks with Erik ten Hag over his future at Manchester United and it was reported that the Dutchman would love to have him at his disposal.

With Pellistri now set on staying at United, the forward will look to challenge Antony and Jadon Sancho for the right-wing position.

Several clubs showed interest in signing the 21-year-old on loan but after United’s inability to sign a new wide player, Ten Hag had no choice but block his exit.

Facundo Pellistri was an unused substitute as Manchester United came from two goals down to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 at Old Trafford last weekend.

He’ll have a chance to make an appearance this weekend when United take a trip to north London to face Arsenal in the Premier League.
