Several Manchester United fans agree that Donny van de Beek put out a drab performance during Everton’s defeat to Southampton.
Van de Beek, who joined Man United two seasons ago, left The Red Devils to join Everton on loan in a bid to get regular playing time and show what he’s made of.
So far, the former Ajax midfielder has failed to convince so Manchester United fans that he was wrongly benched by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick at Old Trafford.
The Netherlands international started in the midfield against Southampton but was dreadful as Frank Lampard’s side got humbled 2-0 by The Saints.
Many fans accused Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of blindly believing in Scott McTominay and Fred as his double pivot but Van de Beek’s display at St Mary’s might have proved the Norwegian boss right.
Some fans took to Twitter to react to the 24-year-old’s performance, with one claiming Erik ten Hag, who is linked with a managerial move to United, made the midfielder look like a world-class player.
Ten Hag is such a genius he made Donnie Van de Beek look like a world class player.

Donny Van De Beek lost the ball 19 times against Southampton. Only Richarlison lost the ball more times than him.
If this was Bruno, our fans would use that as a reason to downplay his G/A even though he plays in a far advanced role than Donny.

Anyone who knows football knows Van de Beek is in the wrong league. Fans regularly wanted Ole to play him but these fans were wrong, not Ole.

Fergie Time tweeted: “Wonder what happened to van de beek this week? According to some on here he was the best CM in the prem last week and ole, carrick, ragnick didn’t have a clue! This week he got torn apart by Southampton.”
