Four European clubs show interest in Eric Bailly, who wants Manchester United exit

Four European clubs have reportedly shown interest in Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, according to reports.

Man United are expected to offload a good number of players in the summer, in a bid to begin their squad rebuild under Erik ten Hag.

The likes of Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, and Nemanja Matic are all leaving the club in the summer, as well as Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, Phil Jones, and Bailly.

The Ivorian defender signed a new three-year deal last year but struggled to make himself a regular starter under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

Now, ESPN report that Eric Bailly has informed his Manchester United team-mates that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season.

The same outlet confirmed that the 28-year-old centre-half has interest from Serie A, Ligue 1, and Premier League, with the likes of Lyon, Marseille, Newcastle, and Roma reportedly showing interest in him.

According to Daily Mail, Man United have privately accepted that they made a mistake in handing the Ivory Coast defender a new three-year deal, having failed to improve United’s backline and is keen on leaving the club this summer.

Bailly is behind the likes of Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof at Manchester United.
