Fred dismisses reports claiming he's unhappy & wants Manchester United exit

Manchester United midfielder Fred has claimed that the reports that claimed as many as 17 players are unhappy at Old Trafford are ‘fake news’, insisting he’s happy at United.

Man United suffered a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Wolves on Monday night in the Premier League.

After the defeat, loads of reports emerged. A report claimed that the likes of Harry Maguire, Edinson Cavani, and Marcus Rashford are unhappy with Cristiano Ronaldo over why the Portuguese forward doesn’t get benched.

Another held that Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, and Maguire are unhappy at United over how the Portuguese players have treated them at the club.

The report that raised many eyebrows emerged hours after the defeat that as many as 17 players, including Fred, are unhappy at Manchester United and would attempt to leave the club at the end of the season.

Fred was not happy with the reports and quickly addressed the issue, where he said he’s happy at the club and not planning on leaving due to any worries.

“Over the past few days I have read several fake news involving my name and other MUFC athletes,” said Fred.

“I’m not in the habit of answering controversial stuff publicly, but this time I will have to.

“I just want to say that I am very happy here and I have never expressed any dissatisfaction and the possibility of leaving the club.

“Don’t get misled by fake news. We will continue to work with great dedication to pursue our goals.”

The Brazilian has not featured for the Red Devils in their last two games.

Manchester United will take on Aston Villa on January 10 in the FA Cup third round.

Fred could return back to the starting lineup after both Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay underperformed against Wolves.
