Although Paul Pogba confirmed that it wasn’t Manchester United’s plan to drop two points against Burnley, he was happy to be back on the scoresheet again.
Man United were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Turf Moor despite dominating The Clarets for the majority of the game.
Pogba made his first appearance in three months when he started against Middlesbrough on Friday in the FA Cup. His scintillating performance plus Fred contracting COVID-19 left Ralf Rangnick no choice but to start the World Cup winner against Burnley.
The 28-year-old marked his first Premier League appearance since his cameo against Liverpool in October with a beautiful strike from inside the penalty box.

And that becomes his first goal of the season, having provided seven assists in 10 league games and the France star took to Twitter to react to his side’s draw and his goal vs Burnley.
“Not the result we wanted, but happy to be back on the scoresheet again,” said Pogba.

Raphael Varane thought he had scored his first Manchester United goal but his superb header was cancelled because Harry Maguire was in an offside position.
After Pogba has scored the opener, United got their lead doubled through an own goal from Brownhill but the goal was ruled out for a Pogba’s foul on Ben Mee.
Manchester United will look to get back to winning ways when they face Southampton on Saturday in the Premier League.
