A couple of Manchester United players including Cristiano Ronaldo represented their respective countries on international duty today.

Scotland 1-1 Poland

Scott McTominay started at the back in a three-man defence against Poland in an international friendly game.

Both countries were supposed to be involved in the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers but had their matches postponed and cancelled due to the ongoing war at Ukraine.

Poland received a walkover after their game against Russia in Russia was cancelled due to the war while Scotland’s game against Ukraine was postponed.

Both countries used the chance to test themselves but it ended all square.

Kieran Tierney opened the scoring in the 68th-minute but Piatek scored the equaliser in the injury time from the penalty spot.

Scott McTominay played 90 minutes in that encounter as a centre-back.

Sweden 1-0 Czech Republic

Victor Lindelof started at the back while Anthony Elanga was benched.

The tie ended goalless draw in the regular time, with Elanga still left on the bench.

In the first half of the extra time, the home side opened the scoring, thanks to a fine effort from Quaison.

In the 115th minute, Anthony Elanga entered the mix but couldn’t make his presence felt due to the limited time at his disposal.

Portugal 3-1 Turkey

Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot all started for Portugal against Turkey and Fernando Santos’ decisions paid off when his side led the Turkish side 2-0 at halftime.

Ronaldo, Fernandes and Dalot weren’t effective in the first 45 minutes and the same could be said of their performances in the second half as well.

Ronaldo had a few chances to get on the scoresheet but failed to convert from any while Fernandes and Dalot struggled to create chances against Turkey.

Fernandes was substituted in the 80th minute while Dalot and Ronaldo played 90 minutes.
