Manchester United defender Phil Jones reportedly reacted with deep frustration to being substituted by Ralf Rangnick at half-time against Liverpool.
Rangnick started three centre defenders at the back at Anfield in a bid to stand a chance against title-chasers Liverpool.
But before the half-time whistle, Liverpool had already killed the game off as they led struggling Manchester United 4-0.
Rangnick decided to change his defensive formation into an attacking approach in the break, which saw Jones get substituted.
Harry Maguire, Jones and Victor Lindelof all started as United’s three-man defence but Jones was the fall guy despite not being one of the dreadful United players.

According to The Athletics, the England international reacted with deep frustration to being substituted at half-time during the 4-0 loss to Liverpool.
The same report added that the 30-year-old defender had been eager for game time and felt ready for the challenge. Jones had to be persuaded not to take immediate issue with Rangnick.
Jones came off the bench against Chelsea on Thursday night and helped United to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, with Cristiano Ronaldo pulling Marcos Alonso’s opener behind.
