Marcel van der Kraan has claimed that he is ‘absolutely convinced’ Erik ten Hag will get Jurrien Timber to join Manchester United.
Timber emerged as one of Man United’s transfer targets following the appointment of Erik ten Hag.
The Ajax defender recently claimed that he sees himself remaining in the Dutch league ahead of next season and develop himself further.
Jurriën Timber told De Telegraaf on his future: “In the end, my gut feeling will be the deciding factor. The picture has to be right.
“You can go to a big club. But if you’re not going to play there it’s better to stay with Ajax. And Ajax is also a big club. We play football in the Champions League and I play there together with the best players in the Netherlands.

“Of course, I can develop further [at Ajax]. I am 100 per cent sure of that. I don’t feel like I’m done at the club. But I can also develop at other clubs.
“I am now focusing on the upcoming international matches and then go on holiday. Then I’ll have to think about it some more.”
Despite Jurrien Timber’s comments suggesting he’s likely set on staying put at Ajax, Marcel van der Kraan claims Ten Hag can convince the Netherlands international to move to Old Trafford.
Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan told talkSPORT: “I’m absolutely convinced that he [Erik ten Hag] is going to get [Jurriën] Timber in at Manchester United — I think it [recent comments about staying at Ajax] were just political talk and he has already made his mind up.”
