Former Chelsea forward Joe Cole has explained why he expects Manchester United to finish fourth in the Premier League, ahead of Arsenal and Tottenham.
Man United are currently outside of the top-four with 27 points from 16 league matches.
The Red Devils would have been one of the top four teams if they had played and won their game against Brentford on Tuesday.
The same with Tottenham, who have had their recent three games postponed.
However, the midweek game was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak at United’s camp and their weekend game against Brighton and Hove Albion has been shifted also.
Arsenal leapfrogged Manchester United and West Ham to the 4th position on Wednesday after they dominated and beat the Hammers 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
Despite occupying the last spot behind Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea in the top-four at the moment, Joe Cole still believes United will knock Arsenal off their perch because they have a ‘genius’ in Cristiano Ronaldo.
He told BT Sport: ‘There’s so much to be positive about the goalkeeper is outstanding. Gabriel and White have got it together, they’ve really nailed it.
‘And I’d probably just go with United because of the [Cristiano] Ronaldo factor because he’s such a genius and he guarantees you goals. He always turns up.’
