Manchester United teenager Kobbie Mainoo has told Bruno Fernandes when he’s coming back from his long-term injury.
Mainoo was in line to join the Man United squad for the 2023/2024 season but his progress has been delayed after he suffered a long-term injury whilst in pre-season.
The youngster was forced out of action against Real Madrid after suffering an ankle injury in July.
As a result, he has missed United’s first three Premier League matches against Wolves, Tottenham and Nottingham Forest. Also missed United’s last three pre-season games against Dortmund, Lens and Athletic Bilbao.
The 18-year-old is expected to return to action late this year but has given Bruno Fernandes hopes that his return might just be at the corner.
Mainoo uploaded a photo of him on Instagram and Fernandes replied with: “Nice pictures and fashion but on the pitch when can I see you?
The Manchester United academy graduate replied his captain: “Not too long brother.”

Understand that Kobbie Mainoo featured in five of Man United’s friendly matches before suffering the injury against Real Madrid.
Manchester United are interested in signing a midfielder but will have to offload either Donny van de Beek or Scott McTominay first.
Sofyan Amrabat is said to be Erik ten Hag’s top priority and reports are claiming that the deal could be finalised before or on Friday.

“At this moment, he’s not available but I think he will also, in say one, two months,” Ten Hag said in August. “Not in one month, but in two months, he will be available. And so, for the winter [that] is coming up, he absolutely will have his games.”
