Manchester United reportedly declined an offer to sign Boubacar Kamara from Marseille after the midfielder was offered to the club.
That was claimed by transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed that the deal was offered to Man United in the last days of the winter market.
The Red Devils were in need of a defensive midfielder, having failed to sign one last summer for former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
As a result, several defensive midfielders, including the likes of Declan Rice and Amadou Haidara, have all been linked with moves to Old Trafford but none materialised.
According to Fabrizio Romano, United received an offer to sign Marseille midfielder Boubacar Kamara, 22, last month but the club turned the offer down.

Because Ralf Rangnick is only at Manchester United on a temporary basis, the club didn’t want to make any signings over fears that their new permanent boss might not be fond of the signings.

The likes of Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino are said to be the top candidates to become Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s permanent successor in the summer.
However, whoever becomes the new boss at the Theatre of Dreams, signing a defensive midfielder remains a top priority for the club.
The likes of Declan Rice of West Ham United and RB Leipzig star Amadou Haidara are transfer targets for Manchester United.
