Manchester United defender Harry Maguire missed a huge chance in the second half that would have helped seal the game off against AC Milan.
United opened the scoring early in the second half after Amad Diallo scored a big header, thanks to Bruno Fernandes for laying a top-class through pass to the young Ivorian.
Harry Maguire was presented with a huge chance to keep Man United’s lead protected after failing to convert from a close range.
Alex Telles launched the ball into AC Milan’s penalty box from the corner kick and the Brazilian’s service was headed first by Bruno Fernandes before Milan’s goalie Gianluigi Donnarumma had a slight touch on the ball but the shot-stopper’s contact wasn’t strong enough to change the direction of Fernandes’ header.
Harry Maguire needed to perfectly tap the ball into the back of the net but despite standing a few inches away from an empty post, his effort from the goal area went directly at the woodwork and the Manchester United skipper couldn’t believe his eyes.
The former Leicester City defender has since been criticised for missing the chance and a certain fan thinks the 28-year-old defender would have scored if the goal post was a lot wider and longer.
“Let’s hope they’ve got nets like this for Maguire,” the fan tweeted after Marcus Rashford had shared a tweet that his side are capable of turning the game around in the return leg.

Simon Kjaer would score the equaliser in the dying seconds of the game to put Man United ina tight corner ahead of the return leg.
Manchester United will now turn their focus on Sunday when they host West Ham at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
United are 14 points behind league leaders, Manchester City, with a game in hand.
