Manchester United 10th, Real Madrid moved to second position as Barcelona crowned as the best European club

Despite winning the Champions League for the third time in a row, Barcelona, who won the La Liga this season were crowned as the best European club ahead of Real Madrid, according to Euro Club Index.

The 25 European clubs list is embedded together by sports data company Gracenote and practices various factors to decide positions, such as achievements away from home and in domestic cup competitions.

The European champions were crowned the best by this time last year but have fallen behind Barcelona this year, who were previously second.

Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich maintain their third position, while Juventus moved from fifth to fourth.
