Manchester United have confirmed that summer signing Sofyan Amrabat will miss Morocco’s internationals in September through an injury.
Man United lured Amrabat from Fiorentina on deadline day last week but due to his late arrival, the Morocco international wasn’t in the squad that lost 3-1 to Arsenal.
The former Fiorentina midfielder was set on making appearances for Morocco this week and next week but he’s set to miss out following his injury.
It will come as a big blow to Manchester United and their fans, given the number of first team players who are already out injured.
However, several reports claimed that the injury is not a long-term one, with a few sources claiming the midfielder could even make his debut against Brighton & Hove Albion next weekend.
Manchester United official website confirmed that Sofyan Amrabat will return to Carrington this week, where he would speed up his recovery process.

United have won two and lost two of their opening four Premier League matches this season so far.
Erik ten Hag and his boys will look to bounce back to winning ways against the Seagulls on Saturday before planning a trip to Germany to face Bayern Munich in what would be their first Champions League appearance since their defeat to Atletico Madrid in the round of 16 in 2022.
