Manchester United fans heap praise on David de Gea after 'brilliant' save in Brighton tie

Manchester United fans are pleased with David de Gea over his performance in the first half against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Man United should have broken the deadlock early on in the game when Cristiano Ronaldo put Jadon Sancho through with a backheel but the latter failed to beat Brighton’s goalie, when he had a chance to square the ball back to Ronaldo and others, who were unmarked.

Late on in the first half, the visitors grew stronger into the game and put pressure on Manchester United through the flanks.

The Seagulls provided the best chance of the game after Sancho’s miss but David de Gea was 100% alert to save what could have been the breakthrough from Brighton.

Jakub Moder had a free header and did well to head the ball on target but de Gea was equal to the task and punched the ball behind for a corner.

The Spaniard’s save did not only keep Manchester United in the game but has also forced off special praises from Man United fans across social media.

The first half ended in a goalless draw, the first time since their game against West Ham United before the international break.

United won the game 1-0 in the last-minute of the game, thanks to Marcus Rashford’s tap-in.

Manchester United would rather hope the West Ham United fate repeats itself tonight than dropping further points.
