Several Manchester United fans are convinced that Bruno Fernandes has finally revealed the best centre-back pairing at Old Trafford.

Fernandes cleared many Man United fans’ doubts after he appeared to have confirmed that United’s best centre-back partnership consists of Eric Bailly and Raphael Varane.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed Harry Maguire from Leceister City three seasons ago but the England international would rather receive widespread criticism over his inability to improve United’s backline and act as a leader.

As a result, many would rather Ralf Rangnick start either Eric Bailly, when fit, or Victor Lindelof alongside Raphael Varane over any centre-back consisting of Harry Maguire.

Bruno Fernandes’ latest social media activity appears to have taken a massive dig at Harry Maguire and stands as an indirect message to Rangnick, informing the German boss which centre-back pairing he feels is the best at United.

Fernandes shared a photo that shows him standing in between Eric Bailly and Raphael Varane and tweeted: “Feeling very safe between these two 😂.”

And several Manchester United fans are convinced the Portuguese star agrees with them at least.

Manchester United will play visitors to Leeds United on Sunday in the Premier League.

Fans would hope Rangnick agrees with Fernandes and drop Maguire but the chances of it happening against The Whites are slim.
