Manchester United hit with major blow ahead of Leicester City clash

Manchester United could be without Cristiano Ronaldo in the team against Leicester City after MEN reported that the Portuguese star was not spotted tonight alongside his team-mates.

Man United will look to continue their Premier League top-four hunts when they host Leicester at Old Trafford on Saturday evening.

And The Red Devils are increasingly likely to get back to winning ways without their key player in Cristiano Ronaldo.

Manchester United squad arrived at the team’s Lowry Hotel on Friday night ahead of the game against The Foxes but Ronaldo wasn’t among the squad, though his fellow Portuguese stars Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot were spotted.

The 37-year-old will join the likes of Edinson Cavani on the sidelines, who has been ruled out of the game with an injury, claimed Ralf Rangnick. And the German boss would reveal on Saturday why Ronaldo missed the game, if he eventually did.

According to MEN, below is the Manchester United squad available for the clash against Leicester City.

Goalkeepers: De Gea, Henderson, Grant;

Defenders: Wan-Bissaka, Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Lindelof, Jones, Shaw, Telles;

Midfielders: McTominay, Fred, Matic, Pogba, Fernandes, Mata, Lingard;

Forwards: Sancho, Rashford, Elanga.

There are suggestions already claiming that Marcus Rashford would lead United’s attacking line if Ronaldo failed to be available for the crucial top-four clash.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s absence would be a big blow to Ralf Rangnick and United, given the form he was at before the international break.
