Manchester United have reportedly joined the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool in the race to sign FC Porto winger Luis Diaz, according to reports.
Diaz has been a joy to watch, having netted 13 times and provided three assists in all competitions for the Portuguese side this term.
The Columbian forward has played a huge role in helping Porto stay at the top of the Premeira Liga without a defeat, though they have the same points as Bruno Fernandes’ former side Sporting Lisbon.
Diaz is attracting interest from the Premier League and Calciomercato have reported that Manchester United have now joined the likes of Man City, Newcastle and Liverpool in the race for the winger’s signature.
United’s latest signing from the Portuguese league – Bruno Fernandes – has been a breath of fresh air – thanks to his scintillating form.
As such, signing Luis Diaz would not only be a no-brainer for the Red Devils but also would hand Alex Telles, who joined United last season, another chance to reunite with his former teammate at Old Trafford.
Both Telles and Diaz were successful together on the left flank at Porto, winning the domestic double in 2019/20.
Manchester United are more likely to offload some players in the winter transfer market than to bring in some fresh legs.
That means the chances of seeing Diaz at Old Trafford in January is thin.
