Manchester United legend Gary Neville has taken a jibe at Arsenal fans after their massive defeat to Crystal Palace.
The Gunners needed to take all three points off Palace on Monday night in order to return back to the top-four and as well extend their gap ahead of Man United to six points with a game in hand.
Following Manchester United’s draw against Leicester City at Old Trafford on Saturday, several Arsenal fans taunted Gary Neville on his social media, with many mocking the former England right-back about United’s struggles in the top-four race.
The Gunners’ fans took to Neville’s social media to stressed out how they would eventually kill any chances of United pushing for a comeback in the top-four race when they take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
However, the opposite happened after Mikel Arteta’s men got walloped 3-0 by Patrick Veira’s men.
Gary Neville tweeted: “Not so many Arsenal fans on my timeline tonight.”
Following Arsenal’s defeat, Manchester United’s chances of making their way back to the cut have been boosted as they currently only three points behind Tottenham, who sit 4th in the table with 54 points after 30 games, same as Man United.
