Manchester United have received a double injury boost after Raphael Varane and Edinson Cavani joined the squad in their trip to Newcastle United on Sunday.
Man United will face Newcastle away from home on Monday night in the Premier League and their chances of getting all three points have been boosted by the returns of Varane and Cavani, who were out of action for almost two months.
According to MEN, there was no sign of Paul Pogba, though they confirmed that Victor Lindelof, who suffered a chest issue against Norwich City, was part of the travelling squad.
On Pogba’s fitness, Ralf Rangnick said: “Right now, it’s about for him [Pogba] to get fit again, to get training fit, not just be match fit.
“I think this will take as far as I know another couple of weeks and until then my full focus is on the players who are available.”
MEN only reported the players they had their sight on and claimed that the rest of the players, which includes Cristiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire, travelled on a separate coach.
Confirmed Manchester United squad vs Newcastle United
David de Gea, Dean Henderson, Tom Heaton, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Raphael Varane, Alex Telles, Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic, Fred, Donny van de Beek, Bruno Fernandes, Edinson Cavani
Manchester United last played a game 16 days ago against Norwich City, which ended in a 1-0 win, thanks to a late penalty effort from Cristiano Ronaldo.
United have won their last three Premier League matches and will look to make it four wins in a row, at least, to maintain their top-four hopes.
