Manchester United have reportedly held talks with Benfica over a potential move to sign Joao Neves, who is dubbed as ‘Bruno Fernandes 2.0.
That is according to Daily Mail, who reported that Man United held talks with Benfica in a bid to lure the youngster to Old Trafford.
It’s obvious the Red Devils are in search for a midfielder but the report made it clear that despite the alleged talks, it is unlikely United will make a bid for the youngster.
However, the report holds that there’s a possibility Manchester United would improve their chase on the talented midfielder, 18, next summer.
Joao Neves, who has been hailed by many as Bruno Fernandes 2.0, made 21 first-team appearances for Benfica last season.
