Manchester United have reportedly shown interest in Swedish talent Lucas Bergvall, who has impressed in the Brommapojkarnas academy.
The 15-year-old talent has impressed Man United’s scout Sergio De Souza, who has been in a privileged position to observe the player from a close-range play on several occasions.
As a result, Manchester United have offered Bergvall a trial match, which is expected to take place in February.
According to FotbollDirekt, Brommapojkarna’s sports director Peter Kisfaludy confirms Bergvall is attracting interest but resisted the temptation to provide the name of the interested clubs.
“I can say so much that the interest in him [Lucas Bergvall] is incredibly great, Kisfaludy told FotbollDirekt.
Manchester United’s Football Academy is one of the best in Europe, given the number of talents they have produced over the years.
Man United’s current squad has a good number of academy graduates, including the likes of Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, and Anthony Elanga, who all scored to help United beat Brentford 3-1 in the Premier League on Wednesday.
Should Bergvall pass Manchester United’s trial match and United decided to sign the young midfielder, the Reds would need to pay between £1million to 2million for his services, claim the Swedish outlet.
Also, he would join his fellow compatriots Victor Lindelof and Anthony Elanga at Old Trafford.
