Manchester United star Jesse Lingard makes transfer decision after interest from four Serie A teams

Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is expected to be one of the senior players who would be leaving the club at the end of the season.

And several reports have claimed that the England international isn’t short of suitors, with teams from Italy showing interest in the attacking midfielder.

Lingard was pushed to West Ham United last year January on a loan deal in a bid to get regular playing time. And guess what? the 29-year-old became a revelation at the London Stadium, scoring 9 goals and providing 4 assists in 16 Premier League games. He even went on to win a Premier League Best Player of the Month award.

Solskjaer was impressed with Jesse Lingard‘s performances under David Moyes and welcomed him back to the squad ahead of the 2021/2022 season, promising the Man United academy graduate more playing time.

Lingard agreed to stay but the Norwegian boss didn’t get on the end of his own bargain because Bruno Fernandes was giving him what he needed at least from Lingard’s preferred position.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got sacked in November, a few months into this season, and Ralf Rangnick was appointed as his temporary replacement but that didn’t change Jesse Lingard’s situation at Manchester United either.

Now, the Englishman decided to see out his contract and will be leaving for free in the summer.

Reports emerged this week that the likes of Inter Milan, AS Roma, Juventus and AC Milan are all keen on his signature.

But according to The Sun, Jesse Lingard, who is no longer thinking about agreeing a new deal with Man United, wants to remain in the Premier League despite interest from Serie A top guns.

West Ham United are reportedly planning on signing Lingard in the summer, reported by 90mins. Newcastle United have ended their pursuit of him, according to reports, after they failed to reach an agreement with United in January over his signature.

Everton are also said to be monitoring his situation at Old Trafford but it is imperative they avoid relegation this season.
