Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick said Scott McTominay is ‘more likely’ to miss Tottenham clash.
Man United will look to bounce back to winning ways against Spurs on Saturday, after suffering an embarrassing 4-1 loss to Man City last weekend.
The Red Devils will look to push for the win but likely without McTominay in the team.
Rangnick said he wants to avoid risking the Scotland international against Tottenham, when Atletico Madrid’s game in the Champions League is three days away.
Scott McTominay only returned to action against Manchester City last weekend after recovering from an illness that ruled him out of two games.
Rangnick also confirmed that Luke Shaw will miss the game, with McTominay having a doubt with a calf injury.
“Right now it’s more likely he [Scott McTominay] will not be available because if we risk him tomorrow he might be out for the game on Tuesday. I tend to be careful if it’s a calf injury.”
