Champions League Group Stage Draw & Manchester United
Manchester United qualified for the Champions League football when they finished in 3rd position in the Premier League last season. As a result, they fall in pot 2, meaning they are likely to face at least one of the winners of La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Primeira Liga and Europa League, with these teams all occupying the pot 1.
When will the draw take place? The final qualification round will take place Tuesday and Wednesday and the draw will take place the next day, Thursday 31, August 2023 at 18:00 CET.
Where will the draw take place? The group stage draw will take place in Grimaldi Forum, in Monaco.
Carabao Cup Third Round Draw
The Third Round draw will take place on Wednesday immediately after the last game of Round Two (Doncaster Rovers and Everton) finishes and Manchester United will eventually discover their first opponents of the competition. Recall that United are the defending champions, after they beat Newcastle United 2-0 at Wembley last season.
According to EFL, the draw will not be regionalised, with any of the 32 Clubs in Round Three being able to be drawn against any participating team and the ball numbers for the Carabao Cup Round Three draw will be confirmed on Wednesday 30 August.

Man United are obviously searching for a couple of players before the transfer window closes on September 1. Luke Shaw suffered an injury against Tottenham and as a result, United have been linked with a move to sign a left-back on short term.

Fabrizio Romano reported today that Manchester United have reached an agreement with Marc Cucurella on personal terms. Man United want him on a season-long loan deal and they remain in talks with Chelsea.

However, his move is dependent on the departures. Scott McTominay is attracting interest from Bayern Munich. Some sources are claiming that Bayern would be opened for a swap loan deal involving McTominay and Ryan Gravenberch but nothing is in an advanced stage at the moment.
Harry Maguire is looking likely to remain at Manchester United after the Red Devils declined West Ham’s latest offer and decided against offloading their former captain.
Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that Man United have showed interest in Pierre-Emile Højbjerg but no offer has been made.
