Brighton and Hove Albion manager Graham Potter has confirmed that the likes of Enock Mwepu and Jeremy Sarmiento are set to miss the Manchester United clash on Tuesday.
Man United are eager to bounce back to winning ways this midweek, having endured recent results that didn’t reflect their performances.
Now, the Red Devils face a huge test on Tuesday night against The Seagulls, who haven’t lost a single game in their last eight Premier League matches, including last weekend’s 2-0 win at Watford.
Potter confirms both Mwepu and Sarmiento will miss the clash, something Manchester United hope would be a blessing in disguise for them.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Gramham Potter told BHA’s official website: “We will be as we were ahead of the Watford game. Enock Mwepu isn’t far away from being available. Jeremy Sarmiento’s rehab is going well so he’s getting closer.
“Lewis Dunk has been fine, he has trained well and recovered well. He’s in a good place.”
Manchester United will also be without two first-team players, Edinson Cavani and Nemanja Matic but welcome back Fred to the squad, who missed United’s last two games due to illness.
“Alex [Telles] is back again in the squad – he was already part of the group for the Southampton game – and he will also be available.”
