Manchester United’s stance on forward Mason Greenwood remains unchanged despite speculation claiming the forward is set to return to training.
That means the England international is not in line for a return to training with the Man United team, despite the rumours across social media.
The Red Devils decided to suspend the promising forward while police continued with their investigation.
Greenwood got arrested in February on suspicion of rape, sexual assault, and making threats to kill before later being bailed for three days.
Greater Manchester Police are now expected to extend the 20-year-old’s bail, which is due to expire on April 30.
The speculation emerged on Friday ahead of United’s clash against Norwich City, that Greenwood was now set to return to first-team training.
However, Express Sport report that this is not the case and Manchester United’s decision to suspend Greenwood until further notice hasn’t been changed.
Man Utd will continue to take a backseat while the police conduct their investigation and will not be rushed into any decision over his future at Old Trafford.
Greenwood last scored for Manchester United against Brentford and last appearance against West Ham United.
