Mauricio Pochettino responds to PSG interest in Paul Pogba speculation

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino refuses to comment on reports linking Paul Pogba to the Parisians but confirms the club are busy in the market.

Several reports have linked Pogba with a summer move to PSG this summer as the Frenchman is yet to extend his contract with Manchester United.

The midfielder has one year left on his current deal with Man United and reports are leading him away from Old Trafford, though Fabrizio Romano confirms recently that the Red Devils are keen on stopping the player from leaving.

Reports in France have suggested that PSG are ready to offer £45million for the World Cup winner and are set to make him their third-highest earner, if he joins, behind Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Pochettino refuses to reveal names to Le Parisen of players the Parisians are plotting on signing this summer.

Mauricio Pochettino said of PSG transfer plans:

‘I won’t give any names, I don’t like to speak about players who belong to other clubs.

‘The club is working away quietly, achieving some good things. At the end of the window, we’ll see who the new players are – if there are any – and which players leave the squad.’

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has earlier confirmed that he would love to work with Paul Pogba again next season. The Norwegian boss confirmed that the club are trying to extend the midfielder’s contract after reports emerged that the 28-year-old has rejected United’s latest contract offer.

Solskjaer on Paul Pogba rejecting United’s contract:

‘There’s always speculations about Paul [Pogba].

‘The talks between the club and Paul’s representatives, I’m not in the detail of every single one of them so I’ve got nothing to say really about that.’

PSG new summer signing, Goerginio Wijnaldum, has already claimed that he would love to share the same pitch as ‘extraordinary’ Pogba.
