Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah included Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo in his dream 5-a-side team during an interview with Rio Ferdinand.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is the only Liverpool star and defender, who made the Egyptian forward’s cut.

The former AS Roma forward added the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, himself, and Cristiano Ronaldo to form a attacking-minded team, with Alexander-Arnold the only defender in the team.

Salah would go on to apologise to Virgil van Dijk for snubbing him, despite knowing the Netherlands international is one of the best defenders in the world in recent seasons.

“I’ll go for Trent [Alexander-Arnold] because I love Trent,” Salah told Ferdinand via BT Sport ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League final against Real Madrid.

“[Kylian] Mbappe, myself… sorry Virgil, no defenders. I’ll take [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo.”

When the former Manchester United defender asked him who he rates as the world’s best player, the Liverpool star replied: “If I don’t pick myself I’ll pick [Karim] Benzema and Mbappe.”

Cristiano Ronaldo finished as Manchester United’e top goalscorer with 24 goals in all competitions.
