Former Arsenal player Paul Merson questions his decision to always back Manchester United to win but still gives United the edge over Leicester City.
Man United will look to bounce back to winning ways this Saturday when they host The Foxes at Old Trafford.
United headed into the international break after a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League round of 16.
The Red Devils are solely focused on leapfrogging Arsenal into the top-four whereas Leicester City have their eyes elsewhere, in the Europa League on Thursday.
Paul Merson believes that would leave Brendan Rodgers no choice but to rest a ‘handful’ of players against Manchester United, hence why he expects Ralf Rangnick to come out on top.
“As I’ve said hundreds of times before, you never quite know what you’re going to get with Manchester United, said Merson.
“Leicester have got a big UEFA Europa League game on Thursday and in all honesty, that’s a bigger game for them at this stage of the season than a Premier League clash against the Red Devils, so a handful of players could be rested for this one.
“I keep on predicting Manchester United to win and I don’t know why, but I think they’ll win this one 2-1 and put major pressure on Arsenal.”
