Paul Pogba is confident Cristiano Ronaldo will improve Manchester United team

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is confident that the return of Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford will improve the team.

Man United improved their squad from last season with four summer signings. The likes of Tom Heaton, Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Ronaldo all joined the Red Devils this summer.

Varane and Sancho made their first full debuts against Wolves last weekend in the Premier League and the pair impressed as United salvaged a 1-0 win at Molineux.

Ronaldo will join the likes of Edinson Cavani, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho, and Mason Greenwood as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s attacking options.

Though many have claimed that the Portugal international is too old to make the same impact he was did during his first stint at United, Paul Pogba believes the five-time Ballon d’Or winner would improve the Reds.

The 28-year-old also admitted that it would always be a pleasure to play alongside the best players. Training with a great player, like Ronaldo, will be a plus for him and his United teammates.

On Raphael Varane, another Manchester United‘summer signing, Pogba added: “Raph’s [Varane] arrival is a positive for the club, we have a great relationship, we’ve known each other for a while.

“I’m happy that he’s with us at Manchester to bring his experience and quality to the table.”

Paul Pogba is currently on international duty with France in the ongoing World Cup Qualifiers.

France played 1-1 each in their last two games against Bosnia & Herzegovina and Ukraine. Pogba played 90 minutes in both games.

He was set on getting an assist against Ukraine as he put Anthony Martial through on goal, thanks to a subline through pass from Paul Pogba, but Martial’s strike was blocked by the goalie. Watch here.
