Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was pleased with his side’s victor over Atalanta.
Man United won the Serie A side in style after coming from two goals down in the first half to win the tie 3-2 in the second half.
Marcus Rashford scored United’s first goal before Harry Maguire put United back in the game.
Late in the game, Cristiano Ronaldo scored the match-winning goal, thanks to a Luke Shaw assist.
United’s two goals didn’t come until Paul Pogba had replaced Scott McTominay, who wasn’t at his best.
Paul Pogba put out a much-improved performance against the Serie A side unlike the horrid display he showed against Leicester City over the weekend.
After the final whistle, the World Cup winner took to Twitter to reflect on his side’s victory, telling fans that Manchester United don’t give up.
“We don’t give up,” said Pogba.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also banished claims that Manchester United players were playing for him against Atalanta.
“Don’t even start,” Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said. “Don’t disrespect the players, they play for Manchester United. They’re the luckiest men in the world and I said that to them tonight.
“The 11 plus the subs, they’re the ones that can play for Man United and that’s what so many millions of boys and girls want to do.”
