Predicted Manchester United starting XI vs Burnley: Rangnick to make four changes?

Manchester United are anxious to get back to winning ways and their home game against Burnley on Thursday night wouldn’t be the perfect chance for their quest.

Man United dropped two points, instead of three, against Newcastle United on Monday after their dire display yielded out a 1-1 draw.

Ralf Rangnick is eager to get back on track against the Clarets and is expected to make some changes to the squad vs Newcastle.

Both Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were unused substitutes against Newcastle as Alex Telles and Diogo Dalot both started in their places.

Rangnick could decide to bring both fullbacks back into starting lineup as he plans to switch to a back three against Burnley.

Eric Bailly, who was on his way back to Ivory Coast for the upcoming AFCON competition, was called back to Manchester after Rangnick told him he would be needed against Burnley.

Surely, Rangnick’s decision to delay Bailly’s inevitable trip for the AFCON was not to keep him on the bench on Thursday night.

As a result, the Ivorian could pair alongside Raphael Varane and Harry Maguire at the back, leaving both Shaw and Wan-Bissaka as wingbacks.

Bruno Fernandes will miss the clash due to suspension after receiving a yellow card against Newcastle.

While many would be expecting Donny Van de Beek to replace the Portuguese magnifico, we think the German boss would prefer to go with three forwards and two defensive midfielders.
